A block is a set of rules which will be applied to an email to decide whether or not to accept it. If you don't want to receive emails, you can use a block to stop it from reaching your mailbox. Blocks are commonly used to avoid spam.

If you prefer, you can filter the email into a seperate folder instead of rejecting it.
